This is based on just one test run, so the error margin might be significant.
I can confirm that the Android shipped with this device is indeed SMP enabled, so the processor used is a dual-core processor.
Lets compare the results of the DoubleShot with the Pyramid since the processor appears to be identical:
HTC Pyramid:
- Productivity Index: 1743
- Games Index: 1642
As you can see, DoubleShot's Productivity Index is a bit higher (but still significantly less than other dual-core Cortex A9 cousins) and Games Index is actually lower. Once again, since only one test run has been captured, there could be some margin of error, or the phone was running other processes in the background that could pull down the results.
Conclusion:
This particular test doesn't help at all in proving the competitiveness of Adreno 220 GPU found in MSM8260 processor. Could this particular sample be yet another prototype that hasn't been properly optimized? May be. Qualcomm needs a device that uses MSM8x60 with more convincing benchmark results fast as every devices with this processor so far, has been performing poorly on benchmarks.
